There’s the field where farmers use our machines. And then there’s the field of agricultural equipment makers like AGCO...And figuratively speaking, we’re doing everything we can to un-level it.
“For the farmers. For the people working for them. For ourselves. For the future.”
Modern supply chains need to be flexible and resilient. AGCO’s global supply chain collaborates cross-functionally, cross-regionally, cross brands, and most importantly with our suppliers, in order to reduce uncertainty and volatility in what is sometimes a complicated global market.
Together with our suppliers, we can strengthen our supply chain.
Supply chain risks are unavoidable; they impact every organization in the world. Here at AGCO, we team with our suppliers to mitigate supply chain risk, which may include potential problems with transportation, currency, raw material fluctuations, and geopolitical issues that might negatively impact our supply chain.
Supply chain risks are on the rise. A consolidated global supply base and reduced inventory requirements amplify supply chain disruptions; one event can have widespread and severe consequences. The potential implications of a supply chain disruption make a focus on risk the right choice for AGCO. A proactive response to risk is no longer the exception; it’s AGCO’s expectation. This goal cannot be accomplished without you — our suppliers — working together with AGCO as one team with common goals.
AGCO takes supply chain risk management seriously, and we expect the same from our suppliers. AGCO expects our suppliers to:
1) Act in a manner consistent with AGCO’s corporate values and Supplier Code of Conduct
2) Proactively monitor their own supply base
3) Be transparent with regards to potential problems
4) Work in a collaborative manner to resolve issues
5) Respond in a timely manner to requests by AGCO

After receiving the renowned "Excellence in eSolutions" award for its innovative and comprehensive supply chain risk management approach in 2015, AGCO was among the very first companies globally to receive the newly introduced "Secure Supply Chain" benchmark certificate.
The "Secure Supply Chain" benchmark certificate was awarded by the Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME), Europe’s leading supply chain association with more than 9,000 individual and corporate members, is the first international, neutral assessment tool for the procedural and organizational implementation of a globally secure supply chain. The tool offers companies the opportunity to measure and optimize their businesses based on benchmarks, while simultaneously allowing them to document their accountability toward shareholders and stakeholders. It also enables companies to manage the risks that occur in their end-to-end supply chain, including on a supplier and location level.
AGCO encourages all its suppliers to participate in the "Secure Supply Chain" benchmark, and more information can be found at https://www.bme.de/en/association-supply-chain-management-procurement-and-logistics/.
