There’s the field where farmers use our machines. And then there’s the field of agricultural equipment makers like AGCO...And figuratively speaking, we’re doing everything we can to un-level it.
“For the farmers. For the people working for them. For ourselves. For the future.”
AGCO Ventures manages AGCO’s venture capital funnel and
process for technology sourcing, M&A, strategic investments,
incubation and public research partnerships. The group actively
connects AGCO’s business needs with industry and market
perspectives to identify investment and engagement opportunities
in corporate venture funds, start-up companies, incubators,
accelerators, higher education and research institutions.
AGCO is focused on farmer-first solutions that take fewer inputs and create more yield with innovative technology. Bringing greater sustainability to the crop cycle is a key driver of our work. Labor shortages are a major obstacle to farmers’ ability to operate within narrow work windows. There is increased pressure on farmers to feed a growing population with extensive headwinds. AGCO’s goal is to bring full crop cycle autonomy to the market by 2030. To get there, it will take extensive development and investment in technology and sustainable solutions.
